The Milica Nektarijević Award ceremony for 2024. was held

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024. in the ceremonial hall of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, the first ceremonial awarding of the "Milica Nektarijević" award was held. We owe special thanks to the speakers: prof. Dr. Mirjanа Kijevčanin, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, prof. Dr. Đorđe Veljović, Milica's mentor, and Tamara Aleksić, one of Milica's closest friends. As well as everyone who participated in the organization of the award and the promotion of the foundation.

She smelled of joy and beauty, of charity, of youth.
As it grew, it was shaped into perfection, that unusual and unselfish perfection, which humanity rejoices in.
Change the world, Milica! I told her before she left. She laughed to tears and told me that she had learned to swim, and that she was ready
And she set out to make her dreams come true and build her own jewel-strewn path.
Lots of love, support and wishes for her to succeed in what she sets out to do...
But the other side of the universe, the dark, terrible side, did not allow it, and the brightness of her star went out. It went out suddenly, prematurely, incomprehensibly, but the trace of the shooting star remained, and it is our path and way to breathe new life into Milica. To be celebrated by younger generations as someone who lit their way, gave them new hope and wind at their backs.
Only 24 years, and so much success and strength, that it melts into three times as much.
And you live, Milica! You live in us who loved you, who you loved, who admired and supported you.
You were a marvelous genius, a combination of intelligence, strength and empathy.
We are proud that you are ours and that we knew you. You will be missed forever, but I heard that a wonderful boy named a star after you, and when we look up at the starry sky, we will see that it shines the brightest.
This award will preserve the memory of Milica Nektarijević, one of the best.
